Guest: Mary Thompson, teacher at the California College of Ayurveda. Mary has been a teacher of ayurveda at the California College of Ayurveda for the past 13 years. She specializes in women’s health issues. Ayurveda is an ancient healing science from India which literally means “the science of life”. Mary discussed on the show many aspects of menopause and peri-menopause from an ayurvedic perspective, including: diet, exercise, herbs, lifestyle and psychological health. Kasey Chambers grew up on the vast expanses of the desolate Australian Nullarbor Plain, along with a small fishing village in South Australia during the hot months. Her parents, musicians Bill and Diane Chambers, passed on their love of country music in the evening by campfire to Kasey and her brother, Nash. By the time Kasey was ten years old, she was singing on stage with her parents. In another ten years, Kasey Chambers would go on to win the 2000 ARIA award (Australian grammy) for “Best Female Artist.” Join us for a brief two-hour adventure through Kasey Chambers’ twenty year musical career.
