On January 1st some new building codes will be in effect for Nevada County. Paul Emery spoke with Brian Wascho, Director of Building for the Nevada County Building Department, about some of these new regulations.

Nevada County builders are reeling from the impact of new building codes that will take effect in January that will require sprinkler systems on all new home construction. Paul Emery spoke with Dave Walls, Executive Director of the Building Standards Commission about the new regulations and how they are created.
